Boycott Spotify

Goodbye, Spotify! Not only are your practices with independent artists criminal, but your CEO also has a billion-pound investment in Helsing, a German company specialising in drones and the development of artificial intelligence systems for military use. Now you’ve also posted recruitment ads for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and who knows what else. Music is art, lad, not commerce and certainly not military!

For listening, I’m going with Tidal, trying Qobuz, and continuing with SoundCloud. For the distribution of my music, including the new album coming out in December, you can find Vogue on any other platform. It’s a simple, easy gesture. Necessary.

New York Days

Un disco Jazz, gran Jazz, che restituisce un’immagine di New York dai bassifondi di vapore acqueo e notte, fari di auto silenziose e tombini semiaperti.
Un gran disco, forse non estivo, ma che importa? Rava, Bollani, Turner, Grenadier, Motian… gente per tutte le stagioni: “New York Days”. Una recensione, qui.

Solo un uomo

Un gran bel disco. Appena uscito. Da un autore che non credevo potesse essere così profondo, sincero, e che mi ha piacevolmente stupito.
“Solo un uomo”, di Niccolò Fabi. Qui potete ascoltare il primo singolo estratto: vai alla pagina.
Da guardare, inoltre, il finale di un gran film italiano.
In questo finale c’è tutto. C’è chi cerca di convincerti che quel che fai non va fatto, c’è la follia, la fantasia, e l’amore – che ti spinge a fare quello che vuoi.

Bisogna il Presente – disco

A questo primo giro non posso far altro che invitarvi all’ascolto di uno dei dischi più belli che ho divorato quest’anno. Digerire, è bel altra cosa. “Bisogna quello che è, bisogna il presente”, recita il mattatore estremo e poetico.
